"Friends since kindergarten, the members of Incan Abraham (Giuliano
Pizzulo, Teddy Cafaro, Spencer Mandel) channel their fingerpainted past
in their debut LP, fusing Lost Boys tribal energy with guitar, synth,
and harmony vocal soundscapes that arc and circle like bikes in desert
washes. After spending college marooned on opposite coasts, the friends
reunited on a whim in a secluded house in upstate
New York for a weekend that turned into a month spent writing music and
contemplating their shared histories of childhood escapism and pop
nostalgia."
The L.A. 'dream-pop' band hits Pittsburgh this Thursday playing at The Smiling Moose all-ages early show behind their latest release, "Tolerance". I want to thank Giuliano Pizzulo (Guitar/Keys/Vocals) for taking the time to participate in this edition of First/Last.
The first album you ever bought?
The first album I actually purchased myself was Michael Jackson's "Dangerous" album, which is the one that Teddy Riley produced. I still think it’s a vastly underrated piece of his catalog.

Favorite album of all time?
D'Angelo's "Voodoo" is certainly up there.

Least favorite/most disappointing
album?
I got that Rod Stewart record, "Tonight I'm Yours." You know, the one with ‘Young Turks’ on it? That song is incredible, but it’s a pretty lame record other than that.

First concert attended?
My parents took me to see Raffi when I was really young. It was in the early 90s so he was really at the peak of his powers. He slayed.

Last concert?
I saw Kraftwerk play their "Tour De France" record at Disney Hall recently.

Favorite concert ever?
I don't have a specific favorite, but every time I've seen Prince play he's been sensational.

Least favorite
concert?
When I was young, I had the displeasure of watching a Creed set at a radio concert. The singer threw a tantrum about the sound and ran off stage during the first song. They didn't complete their set. I guess that was probably the best part.

Thanks, Giuliano. I have never seen Prince play. That's something I have always wanted to do and for some reason or other have not been able to.
