These guys needs way more attention than they seem to get around here. Maybe it's the whole Canadian thing, but this band rocks hard right out of the gate. He is always fun to see  and his records are great. He should be playing bigger venues as he easily does up North. In due time. More photos here.

Sam and his band definitely know how to rock out! It was great to see many enthusiastic people for them. I guess he is getting a burgeoning base here thanks to WYEP's heavy pimping. My only question is why did the guys hide on their bus all evening until show time, when I am sure they could have picked up some new fans if they would've mingled a bit at the merch table or something? Rock stars. Whatcha gonna do?

There seems to be a wealth of relatively unknown Canadian bands that are way more popular in their home country. Sam Roberts falls into that category, as he easily fills arenas up there but plays rooms that hold 125 people down here. I hope that changes since the guy can rock out! Maybe it's me but I hear shades of B.R.M.C. in his voice, which is not a bad thing.
