First/Last-Forebear

"The musicians in Forebear mold together their eclectic influences into a surreal listening experience and an energetic live show. "Forebear balances the line between light and dark, hard and soft...rock and classical. You'd think, for a band, that would sound disastrous but Forebear seamlessly marries these elements together and somehow makes it work. And it's mesmerizing."

Forebear is an alt-rock quartet from L.A. who's upcoming EP "Cody" will be out later this year. They recently debut a second track from it over at Consequence of Sound. You can stream the first track below. As you enjoy, I want to thank Scott Goldbaum (Guitar/Lead Vocals) for taking the time to participate in this edition of First/Last.

The first album you ever bought?
The Beatles "Past Masters Volume 2".

Your last album bought?
Most recently I found and bought Andrew Gold's "All This & Heaven Too" in a $1 record bin. One of the most "feel good" records I own.

Favorite album of all time?
Changing quite often. One of my constants is Radiohead's "KID A".

Least favorite/most disappointing album?
Metallica's "St. Anger".

First concert attended?
Aerosmith at the Blockbuster Pavilion (age 12-13).

Last concert?
Kamassi Washington presenting “THE EPIC” at The Regent Theatre in DTLA.

Favorite concert ever?
Grizzly Bear at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. A favorite band at my favorite venue with best friends. Hard to beat.

Least favorite concert?
The Orwells at Coachella main stage 2015 weekend two.

Any thoughts, experiences about Pittsburgh?
Running back Jerome "The Bus" Bettis was my reason for choosing the Steelers as my go-to Madden 98 football team on Playstation One. A lot of warm hearted nostalgia when I think of the Steelers in the context of competitive video games of the late 90s.

Thanks, Scott. Diggin' the love for Andrew Gold. He was all over the radio when I was a kid in the 70's.
