As the band came on stage they seemed a little taken aback at the size of the crowd to welcome them. One thing I have been noticing at Stage AE (especially outdoors) is the large crowd already in the venue to show up early for the openers. Talking to Grant afterward, he stated that this was their best show of the tour. Good for you Pittsburgh, representin'! The band obviously fed off that love as they sounded really good.

From the excellent interview segment conducted by Cindy, there was no question to who the band really is.  Frontman Scott Hutchinson started the band as a solo performer and remains the group's leader.  He even went so far as to implore the audience members to step up to join the band as the new drummer to replace his brother. Ah, you gotta love brotherly ribbing.

Why did I miss this show from the previous night? These guys are incredibly good. I met Grant outside the studio smoking a butt and gave him my portrait of the Brothers Hutchinson and he loved it. Later, him and Scott said they were going to give it to their Mum! Sweet.

YEP is seriously getting some good bands to play in the studio as of late. I think it might have to do with a certain DJ there who has killer taste in music?!? Just sayin'. I'll have more tomorrow but there are more pictures here.
